It’s my job to keep up with interior design trends – it’s your job to show us what you like.
We can add the most value to your project when brought in during the design phase. We look at the spaces with fresh eyes and ensure they work for the way you live.
We understand you have been working with your architect over many months, fine tuning the design to get your plans to where you want them.
Bringing your plans to us towards the end of the concept design stage and before they are lodged with council, ensures your spaces will be looked at with fresh eyes.
We ensure you are completely confident that they will work for the way you want live and that all spaces are thoughtfully considered, including how they will actually work when finished and furnished.
Our purpose is to add value to the design process, taking what has already been thoughtfully designed and suggesting ideas that will enhance the design, not to disrupt the work completed to date. In short we are always respectful of the work already completed by the architect and see our role as adding the final layer.
A plan review is the last opportunity to make crucial and final decisions that will affect the end result. It is far better to invest the time upfront to get the design 100% right than to be disappointed once it has been built. Our clients find this an extremely valuable exercise.
Whether you are building, renovating or restyling, there are many decisions to be made – from interior and exterior colours to lighting and fireplaces. We know what’s available, what works and what doesn’t.
Depending on the size of your project, the list of finishes that need to be selected can vary greatly.
With so many interior design choices available it can be quite overwhelming. That’s where we come in. We assist with the selection of all your finishes and fittings – interior and exterior colours and finishes, flooring, kitchen and bathroom finishes, plumbing fittings, lighting, hardware, fireplaces and more.
We know what’s available, what works and what doesn’t and we won’t overwhelm you with a multitude of options.
Because we work on multiple projects at a time, we are constantly finding new products finishes. This creates a vast collective creative pool from which all our clients benefit. In addition, we stay on top of international trends so your home can have something you won’t see everywhere else.
Belhams Interiors will help you get to where you want to be – with confidence and without the stress that comes with doing it alone.
ROOM BY ROOM
Sometimes you want to take the design process slowly or just have one or two problem areas that you’d like some help with.
It may be that you are limited by budget or you just want to update one room – a master bedroom or nursery are rooms we are often asked to help with.
The goal of a staggered approach to renovation is to ensure the end result shows no indication of being completed in stages. To achieve this, we create the design plan for your entire house, including a mood board that specifies finishes, colours and suggested furniture. You then own those plans and can implement them over time.
The key to a successful room-by-room approach is to ensure updated areas don’t ‘show up’ the other areas that have yet to be addressed. We observe the overall style of your home and make style recommendations that blend seamlessly with your existing style.
FURNISHING & WINDOW TREATMENTS
Whether it’s one room or a whole house – trust us to select the furnishings, window treatments and accessories you need to create spaces that reflect your style and enhance your home.
We will either design and select all the pieces at your request, or incorporate your existing furniture and furnishings seamlessly into a brand-new interior scheme. We have a vast pool of manufacturers and suppliers from which to select the right furniture pieces and fabrics, providing you personally and uniquely designed rooms.
Window treatments often require special attention. Consideration of the windows, the size, shape, position and how they are to be treated practically, are all essential to create the right frame for each room.
We consider each space, your style, your budget and the existing finishes to ensure we create rooms that you’ll love to come home to!
SOURCING SPECIFIC ITEMS
We can help you find a single feature piece, or collection of pieces, to add that ‘wow’ factor to your home.
This might be a piece of artwork, or specific item(s) of furniture, but not a whole room.
For those who just want a bit if guidance, or have their own ideas but aren’t quite sure how to realise them, you can retain us on an hourly basis.
If you don’t have an in-house interior consultant, we can assist you and your client to make interior and exterior finish choices.
Our purpose is to add value to the design process, taking what has already been thoughtfully designed and suggesting ideas that will enhance the design, not to disrupt the work completed to date.
